Johnny Cabianca has been shaping boards since the 1980s, from Brazil to Hawaii and Europe.
He has crafted boards for some of the world’s best surfers, including world champion Gabriel Medina.
His vision of surfing is unique.

Working with him wasn’t a marketing choice, it was the natural next step.

01. Transforming surfboard
For the past four years, we have been redefining board construction through 3D printing, enabling:
- optimized internal structures
- controlled stiffness
- reduced environmental impact
- improved durability
To go further, we needed to merge material science with the intuition of a master shaper.
02. Nine months
Nine months of iterations, prototypes, and testing.
This collaboration was built both in the shaping bay and in the water.
Dozens of prototypes were tested, refined, re-engineered.
Johnny brought rail sensitivity, rocker intuition, and flow expertise.
Hexa brought the ability to measure, reproduce, and optimize every line.
One principle guided us:
